After booking online with Greekferries club we arrived at the port 3 hours prior as email stated ( port didn’t open until 8 am so we had to wait 1.5 hrs) upon check in we found out that although we had entered in the correct size and length for our vehicle under mini bus this shouldn’t of been allowed as the boat isn’t big enough with multiple vehicles. The check in agent( sorry I didn’t get your name) found a solution and contacted the captain. The next issue was getting into the port through security. We had to get the X-ray which showed something in the roof. There was nothing in the end but this whole process was very disorganized ( no fault of sunrise only the port security/customs) but the sunrise agent was there with us explaining and translating. He even kindly got the boat to wait for us as this took extra time! My advice for anyone else trying to do this journey with a bigger vehicle would be contact sunrise directly and not book through a 3rd party company! Very friendly people. Thankyou for all your help!

Exceptional service via phone, WhatsApp and in person by Serkan Sivari. He sorted out RV getting a ferry Chios to Çeşme... Super helpful at the port. All went well. Highly Recommended!

The agency itself, great. Bought tickets right before the morning ferry at the terminal, agent was very helpful. But. The sunrise tours ferry is very basic. You will be sitting outside in the elements (we enjoyed this as we are sun worshippers, but others in our party could have benefitted from actual cushioned seats 💺). This ferry was the third of four to reach Chios…which meant we had about 200 people in the customs line ahead of us, a 1.5 hour wait to enter Chios once we arrived there. I would recommend the faster Erturk ferry, they all cost 50 euros return!

Thanks to the boat staff, no issues there. My comment is about the 'ground' services. On the way the Chios, we nearly missed the boat because it seems that some vehicule document needed translation to English , we paid and received it in emergency. In Chios, I tried; the customs were OK with the original version in Turkish (they'd prefer in English but it wasn't an obligation). On the way back to Çeşme, we learnt that the boat needed repairs, and we needed to stay overnight (at Sunrise expenses). This happened after we passed the passport &customs controls; I don't wanna have a passport check canceled, especially not in Eagean - the migrant situation is known to anyone who follows news at a minimum. Sunrise stuff would have left a voicemail earlier, but my line doesn't receive those abroad. Is it so hard to send an SMS too, and ideally an official email?
