Jenny is an excellent host who is extremely helpful and will recommend you beaches, restaurants, and museums to go to. My room was spacious and had ample natural light. If you are put in the upstairs room, make sure your feet are sturdy as the steps are stone and quite steep.
What can we say apart from: 'We loved everything about our stay at Mesta Mastic'! The village of Mesta and the surrounding area are unique, authentic and a must visit if you are in Chios. But the property and apartments are beautifully renovated in a quiet location and top class. We stayed in the Merovigli apartment which is accessed by approximately 15 steep stone original steps but it is worth the slight effort/climb as the pounti seating area is not only unique, but supremely cozy. Whilst I don't doubt that there are other great properties to choose from, the icing on the cake at Mesta Mastic are Jenny and her Mum. You can not find kinder and more professional hosts and they deserve all the success that their hard work can provide. They will stay in our hearts as well as our heads and if we return to Mesta, we wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else.
An hidden gem. host was friendly, shared stories about the local life and history. She even share tips amd guides for the entire Chios island. Can see that they have heavily invested in taking care of the place. We felt calm and disconnected (even though free Wi-Fi was provided) from the city hustle and bustle. Make sure you don't get lost in the fortress.
Mesta is a lovely village with very nice people, Anna is a great and caring host. We loved our stay.
