This restaurant, where we had dinner on two evenings, was fantastic. The staff and the owner were very attentive. The seafood was both incredibly delicious and extremely fresh. It’s the best spot on the beach for an enjoyable dining experience.

We visited Kyra Despoina based on a recommendation, and it required a 40-minute drive from where we were staying. When we arrived, the restaurant was very quiet—likely because we went around 5 PM and it was near the end of the season. Before heading there, a friend of ours kindly called the restaurant to ask about the available fish, and we pre-ordered Dentex (Sinarit) and Sea Bream (Fagri). The owner, Yorgos, was incredibly warm and welcoming—a man who clearly takes great pride in what he does. He personally cooked the fish for us, and I can confidently say these were two of the best fish I’ve ever had in my life. Yorgos grilled both fish to perfection—not overcooked, not dry—just perfectly tender and juicy. The olive oil he drizzled on top was unforgettable. If I hadn't already been full, I would have happily dipped bread into that oil and cleaned the plate. The salad served on the side was made from fresh, high-quality ingredients. Since I was driving, I didn’t drink alcohol, but my wife chose to enjoy Ouzo with her meal. Yorgos also kindly offered me a small tasting of Ouzo, on the house—it wasn’t added to our bill. If you’re looking for a seafood restaurant that will truly leave a lasting impression, Kyra Despoina is a perfect choice. And Yorgos’s friendly and generous nature is the cherry on top.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to love this place as much as I did — but wow, what a gem. The food was absolutely amazing, full of flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients. Every bite felt like a homemade meal, in the best way possible. The place itself is super cozy and has a really nice vibe — nothing too fancy, just really warm and inviting. But the real magic? The owner. Such a kind, down-to-earth person. You can tell he genuinely cares about people having a good time, not just about business. He came over to check on us personally, chatted with us like we were old friends, and made sure everything was perfect. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. And the prices? Seriously fair. You get incredible food, generous portions, and you don’t walk out feeling like you’ve been overcharged. It’s honestly refreshing to find a place like this where quality and honesty go hand in hand. Can’t recommend it enough. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and try it — you’ll leave full, happy, and probably already planning your next visit.
