This hotel and restaurant sit inside the fortress of Kotor, Montenegro. A highly visited area amongst tourists like us. Beautiful area, point of access to everything from restaurants to shops. It’s cobble-stoned ground makes you step to its historic glory in the old days. Both hotel and restaurant are in a convenient location. The hotel has that “medieval” vibe with modern touch all over. While the room is beautiful, the bathroom feels and smells moldy, but it’s compensated by welcoming staff and clean bed and pillows. The restaurant is high caliber. Very tasty menu and very good service. Breakfast selections are A’la cartè and though one would feel that you’re limited to one or two drinks, you can ask for another one (in my case, another coffee americano). During our 3-night stay, we had beef wagyu tortilla, English breakfast, classic egg and cheese omelet, and egg Royalé with salmon. Lunch menus are great, too! Great vibe and beautiful people, the experience here is totally worth another visit.
Came to try their restaurant. It was a cozy environment and staffs were friendly. The menu includes pictures and English which is easy for you to make orders. We tried the pesto pasta and tortilla. Both came in generous portions. It was a simple but comforting meal and taste good as well. We loved the vibe of the restaurant where it has seating on level two that over looks the street.
The restaurant is the best in Kotor! I Personally recommend the Taljata Steak & the bread with greek salad on top. The waiter was Professional, I'm pretty sure his name was Milos. It was so good that I returned a second time .
Astoria Restaurant: Nice ambient and friendly service. The rating is on the restaurant and not the room. Our tour guide told us it's one of the best restaurant in the area. That's why we ate there. We tried the green salad, seafood pasta and curry pasta. The salad was great with huge fresh feta and veggies. However, both the pasta dishes were totally disappointment! The pastas were overcooked to the point they were gooey! It was difficult to swallow but we didn't have a choice not to eat them since the price is EU$19 each! Overall pricing is higher than nearby restaurants. If you have option eat elsewhere, do so. I'll not recommend or return for another meal. Please thumbs up if you appreciate the information.
