Guest Experiences: What to Expect
The 12th City Hotel has garnered a range of guest feedback that offers valuable insights into the stay experience. Many travelers praise the hotel’s friendly and attentive staff, as well as the quality of the breakfasts served. The hotel’s modern rooms receive positive remarks for style and cleanliness when properly maintained.
However, the hotel’s lively location comes with notable caveats. Several guests have reported loud music from the bar below, which reportedly plays into the early hours of the morning. This feature might delight party enthusiasts but could be a drawback for travelers seeking tranquility. Additionally, ongoing construction and noise have been mentioned as a disruption during some stays.
Cleanliness and maintenance are areas where experiences have varied. While the hotel aims to maintain a high standard, some visitors encountered issues such as smoke odors and pool cleanliness, which affected their comfort. Management responses to these concerns have been mixed, reflecting challenges with offsite oversight.
Flexibility in booking policies is another point raised by guests, especially in the context of unpredictable travel disruptions. The hotel adheres to firm cancellation policies, which might not suit everyone’s needs, particularly during off-season or unforeseen events.

If you’re drawn to Rhodos for its nightlife and lively atmosphere, The 12th City Hotel places you right at the heart of the action. Its boutique nature means a more personalized stay than large chain hotels, with modern design and a welcoming staff that many guests appreciate. The wheelchair-accessible entrance ensures inclusivity, an important consideration for travelers with mobility concerns.
While the hotel’s central location and vibrant environment are its biggest selling points, it’s essential to weigh the potential noise and maintenance issues against your personal preferences. For those who prioritize a quiet retreat, this might not be the perfect fit. But for partygoers, social adventurers, and anyone eager to soak up Rhodos’s energetic vibe, The 12th City Hotel offers a unique, urban boutique experience.
Ultimately, The 12th City Hotel stands as a lively, modern base for exploring Rhodos’s cultural and social scene, appealing to guests who value location and atmosphere alongside contemporary comfort.

The hotel has a great location and the rooms were nicely furnished. Breakfast ended a bit early and the variety was below what we’re used to, but the available options were tasty. The service staff were very kind. However, although we chose a room with access to the pool, we couldn’t use it due to cleanliness issues, which was a major disappointment. We reported this to the reception during check-out, but the receptionist claimed they had personally cleaned the pool — although it didn’t appear to have been cleaned.
It was a beautiful room but it should have been clean and organized. Tere was smell of smoke unfortunately and it was dirty everywhere.
Good experience , incredible breakfasts, nice service, friendly staff. But loud music downstairs till 2am makes you feel you live in the night club.If you are not a party animal and want quite atmosphere, avoid this place .
Normally I don't preffer to write negative comments, and as a frequent traveller I respect policies and conditions, but to a certain point. I was planning to visit Rhodes island with my firends12-14 Feb, we booked this hotel prior 2 days to our visit, and unexpectedly weather forecast changed dramatically, and ferries cancelled. Via booking.com I requested refund as it was impossible to travel, and mentioned, whenever I can travel I can book again - I cannot decide on a date to change. They didn't accept refund, even voucher referring to their policy, as if they have deep bureaucracy. Clearly it is off-season and I'm not making hotel busy and not coming as if I just didn't want to. For such boutique hotels there should be flexibility and should take initiative. Due to my frustration, paying over 100€, I felt the need to share my experience. Pitty, hotel seems nice...
