Absolutely perfect… Me and my wife stay 4 nights on September. We loved this hotel. Beach and pool very nice. Breakfast various and delicious. Staff kindly. Rooms are clean. If we’ll come Samos we prefer Dorryssa again. Thank you!
This hotel cleverly provides for a range of holidaymakers. The main hotel is fairly typical of Mediterranean resorts, with blocks of rooms grouped around the main and children's pools. Alongside is a recreation of an old Greek village with individual rooms in buildings of a wide range of styles and a 'village square'. There are 5 restaurants, including the main hotel one for people on full-board packages, plus a pool bar. Service is good in all areas with the exception of the pool/beach bar service where it can be occasional patchy/off-hand. There is an on-site shop with most holiday essentials and prices, eg for wine, that are competitive with town.
I have visited Doryssa Seaside and Samos island for almost a decade and I write after all these years because they truly deserve my stars and my appreciation , for their dedication to hospitality with modern ways while keeping traditions of the place alive . This place is becoming better every year , has the best Japanese restaurant , one of the best beach bars which recently start serving top quality Italian cuisine menu , another seafood restaurant , a Greek restaurant etc. and is the only hotel with such many activities . People working in doryssa are mostly from Samos and I have seen them working here form 18 years old , many of them going to study abroad and returning with knowledge and degrees on tourism and hospitality . Even the owners or at least the younger one is so humble and helpful , he has personally assist us almost every year without hesitation . Doryssa Seaside Resort rightfully gets 5 stars for reminding the character and culture of the island of Samos and Samian people while being luxury and elegant .
Better suited to adults than children. Lovely setting. Helpful and friendly staff. Only €5 to pythagario in a taxi. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Lunchtime snacks near the pool. Fish restaurant and pizzeria in the evenings. Not lacking anything.
