Kokkari Beach Hotel enjoys a prime location right by the sea in one of the most charming villages of Samos. The setting is undoubtedly one of its strongest points, as guests can enjoy beautiful views of the Aegean, quick access to the beach, and the lively yet relaxed atmosphere of Kokkari village. Restaurants, cafés, and small shops are within walking distance, which makes the hotel convenient for travelers who want to explore the area without relying too much on transportation. The hotel itself, however, leaves a mixed impression. While it offers all the basics for a comfortable stay, it does not stand out in terms of style, facilities, or service. The building is somewhat dated, and although the rooms are kept reasonably clean, they feel old-fashioned and in need of some renovation. Furniture and décor are functional but very simple, giving the impression that the hotel has not been modernized for quite some time. For guests looking for luxury or contemporary comfort, this may be disappointing. Rooms vary in size, with some offering lovely balconies overlooking the sea, while others face the back and feel less appealing. The beds are adequate but not particularly comfortable, and the bathrooms are small and somewhat cramped. Housekeeping is done regularly, but attention to detail could be improved, as small issues such as worn-out fixtures or missing amenities sometimes go unnoticed. Breakfast is included and served in a buffet style. It is sufficient for a simple start to the day, offering bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and a few pastries. However, the variety is limited and repetitive, and guests staying for longer periods may find it monotonous. A greater emphasis on fresh local products could improve the overall experience. Staff at Kokkari Beach Hotel are polite and generally helpful, but the service can feel a little impersonal at times. While they are willing to answer questions and provide basic assistance, there is not always the warm, personal hospitality that smaller family-run hotels in Greece are often known for. That said, the check-in and check-out process is efficient, and the staff ensure that everything runs smoothly. The facilities are minimal. There is a small pool area, but given the proximity to the sea, many guests prefer the beach instead. Wi-Fi is available, though the connection can be inconsistent, especially in the rooms. Parking is convenient for those renting a car, and the location makes it easy to explore other parts of the island. In conclusion, Kokkari Beach Hotel is an average option that works best for travelers who value location over comfort or luxury. Its greatest strength is its proximity to the beach and the charming village of Kokkari, which offers plenty of dining and leisure options nearby. The hotel provides the essentials for a short stay but lacks the character, modern touches, and attention to detail that could make it more memorable. Overall, it is neither bad nor exceptional—simply a practical base for enjoying the beauty of Kokkari and Samos.
A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff, they were so helpful with our requests and they always gave great recommendations. The rooms were clean and very nicely decorated and had a great fridge and air conditioning. I highly recommend your next trip is with them! Thank you for everything!
Location is fine, 10 minutes walk to the center of Kokkari. The sea is just a street away, hotel has a cafe and a restaurant at the beach. All the staff was very helpful and nice, especially the cleaning lady was great. We loved the lobby decoration, nice ocean theme. Hotel building is a bit old, so needs general renovation.
The hotel is clean, and the location is great. The sea is beautiful, but the hotel is incredibly strict with rules; it honestly felt like a boarding school. Of course, every hotel can have some rules, but this level of control is unnecessary. After all, we’re staying at a hotel, not a military camp. The woman in charge of breakfast was constantly watching and monitoring what people were eating and doing. She even commented when I toasted my bread a little too much. At the beach, even though all the tables were completely empty, i was sitting with my family and I moved to a second table because the sun was hitting my seat and I was told we couldn’t sit at two tables. Apparently, even in an empty space, you’re not allowed to use more than one table. It’s disappointing that, despite receiving similar feedback in many reviews, they still haven’t changed this overly controlling attitude. In my opinion, a more guest-focused approach would make a big difference. Because of this experience, I’d think twice before recommending this place to someone.
