Guest Experiences: The Heartbeat of A For Art Design Hotel
The hotel enjoys a strong reputation among many visitors, with a commendable rating of 4.7 out of 5 based on over a thousand reviews. Guests often highlight the welcoming and attentive staff who go above and beyond to make each stay special. One guest shared, “From the moment we stepped into this wonderful hotel, we were made to feel special; nothing is too much trouble for the great staff.” The décor is frequently praised for its tasteful and artistic vibe, contributing to a cozy and inviting ambiance.
Food lovers are in for a treat as well. Many guests rave about the restaurant’s flavorful dishes and beautiful presentations. Particularly memorable is the personal touch from the head chef, who often visits tables to ensure diners’ satisfaction. “This is hands down the best restaurant in Thassos Town,” noted a large group who enjoyed a celebratory dinner, praising the attentive service and authentic Greek cuisine.
However, the hotel is not without its critiques, and potential guests should consider these thoughtfully. Families with young children may find the environment less accommodating, as the hotel’s artistic displays are carefully guarded, and staff can be strict about interactions with these objects. Some guests have noted that the rooms, while artistically styled, lack practical features like balconies or sufficient drying space for swimwear, which might affect comfort during longer stays. Additionally, a few have mentioned that certain amenities, like air conditioning and refrigerators, could be improved.
The dining experience has also received mixed feedback; while many praise the cuisine, there have been reports of inconsistent service and a less welcoming atmosphere on certain occasions. It’s worth noting that the hotel seems best suited to adult travelers and those who appreciate a quiet, artful setting.

We visited as a group of 15 people, and everything from start to finish was beyond amazing. The staff handled our large group perfectly, friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented, from the fresh seafood to the traditional Greek specialties. What made the evening even more special was when the head chef personally came to our table to ask if everything was to our liking, such a thoughtful and rare gesture that shows how much they care. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all 10/10. This is hands down the best restaurant in Thassos Town. Highly recommended!
3rd time in Thassos in an super 4 days stay at the hotel. Very polite young staff , they are willing to answer everything. Quiet hours are observed without any exception , even on days with live music. The rooms were super clean with a special aesthetic. Very good breakfast and good cuisine in the restaurant for dinner. A little bit expensive but good in general. Totally worths and meets every expectation you have from a 4star hotel , before book.
From the moment we stepped into this wonderful hotel we were made to feel special, nothing is to much trouble for the great staff. The decor is excellent creating a cosy relaxed feel, bedroom and bathroom very clean/comfy. Excellent location for all aspects of the town, beaches, ferries, shops, restaurants and more..
Definitely not suitable for families with children. There are many artistic objects displayed outside, and whenever children try to look at or touch them, the staff react in a very rude and harsh manner, telling you to “keep your child away this object is expensive.” I found their tone unnecessarily strict and impolite. The rooms may look artistic at first glance, but in reality, they are old, stuffy, and impractical. After coming back from the sea, there is no place to dry your towels, swimsuits, or clothes. Since there is no balcony, nothing dries overnight, and the rooms become even more airless. The air conditioners are very old, they hardly cool, and they make a lot of noise. Breakfast deserves a separate mention. There is a middle-aged woman, almost like a guard, who constantly watches you. She even scolded my three-year-old daughter, simply because she was energetic and excited—as any child would be. When I turned to ask what was happening, she suddenly tried to smile and play it down. But this is unacceptable: nobody should speak harshly to a three-year-old child. At the buffet, she follows you around, making you feel uncomfortable while choosing food. Whatever you touch, she immediately comes behind you to “fix” it, as if you did something wrong. It is impossible to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in this environment. The refrigerator in the room doesn’t work, so your water never gets cold. The only option is to ask reception for cold water, which they provide, but the fridge is both broken and very small. On the positive side, the location is great—right in the middle of the town—and they provide parking, even if it’s paid (7€ per day, which is reasonable). However, overall, I do not recommend this place for families with children. I would suggest looking for alternatives, especially hotels closer to different beaches.
